Mission Statement

"To improve the economic development potential and quality of life in the Cottage Grove area."

  • Promote and foster sound economic development in the Cottage Grove Area.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive economic plan to attract new businesses and stimulate the prosperity of existing businesses.
  • Foster a spirit of team philosophy and cooperation among the business community, local governments and area citizens on issues of economic and social benefit.

The Cottage Grove Economic Development Corporation (CGEDC) has created Community Project Teams to work on various economic and community projects which will have a future impact on the economy of the Greater Cottage Grove Area.

Current Project Teams
Project team 1 Website Development Project Team
This is the team which created and continues to work on the Community website created by the CGEDC now known as cottagegroveonline.com.
Project team 2 North Business Park Project Team
This team is interviewing promoters and business prospects for the upscale business park.
Project team 3 Downtown Development Project Team
This team is working on development in the planned downtown and the adjoining area of the Village.
Project team 4 Agri-Business Park Project Team
This is the newest team now beginning work for the Agricultural Business Park located in the Township near the Highway ‘N’ and Highway 12 / 18 intersection.
Project team 5 Team Fireman’s Park Addition Project
His team is working on fundraising for this important community park addition. To be used by the school district and area communities for recreational purposes.
