9/22/2002 - Joyce Hastings, Cottage Grove Economic Development Corporation
The Cottage Grove PTO’s annual fundraiser is planned for Saturday, Sept. 28, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., at Taylor Prairie School

Looking for affordable entertainment for the entire family? Mark the PTO’s annual fall festival, Saturday, Sept. 28, on your calendar. The event, which takes place at Taylor Prairie School in Cottage Grove, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is a major fundraiser for the PTO. The PTO hopes to raise enough money to purchase new playground equipment for Taylor Prairie School, in addition to funding cultural arts programming, reading projects, field trips, and other projects.

This year’s festival kicks off with an inflatable obstacle course, an inflatable jumping ball pit, carnival games for all ages, human bowling, face painting, a cake walk and more. For the first time, the event features a silent auction with more than $11,000 in auction items were donated by area businesses. Festival goers can bid on a $900 curio cabinet from Don’s Oak Furniture, $800 off a Rainbow Play System, or a $475 Aprilaire System installed by Wohlers Heating and Air Conditioning. All proceeds go towards PTO projects.
