3/7/2005 - Ken Dahl, Cottage Grove Economic Development Corporation
A local businessman announced his decision to run as a write in candidate for the Cottage Grove Village Board.

Kevin Hoey has decided to run for the Cottage Grove Village Board as a Write - in Candidate. Prior to his announcement the Village Board only had three people running for three seats.

Mr. Hoey stated he wished to continue to see new businesses brought into the community. With his experience starting the Door Creek Pharmacy in Cottage Grove and recently opening a second Pharmacy in Deerield he feels he has a unique perspective on business issues.

Kevin would like to see recreational and leisure activities in the community increase. He believes the community should continue to offer more activities for it's citizens.

Mr. Hoey is also very interested in seeing the Library in the Village continue to move towards eventual construction.

He stated a desire in seeing the several Joint Planning Committees recently formed by Village President Dahl continue with their work.

Kevin Hoey is currently on the Monona Grove Community Smart Growth Committee which began meeting in February.
