Cambridge, Wisconsin
Known for it's salt-glazed pottery, galleries and historic downtown. Also adjoins Lake Ripley, an area recreational lake.
Lake Mills, Wisconsin
Known for it's festivals throughout the year and the quaint square in it's historic downtown. Adjacent to Aztalan State Park, Aztalan Motocross track and Lake Mills, an area lake.
Madison, Wisconsin
Home to the University of Wisconsin Madison and the seat of the County and State government. Known for it's many art and cultural events. Has the State Street Mall anchored by the University on one end and the State Capital on the other. This is the most successful pedestrian mall in the country. Adjacent to Lake Mendota, Lake Monona and Lake Waubesa.
McFarland, Wisconsin
Adjoins Lake Waubesa and Mud Lake. Has a large Dance Hall, well known in the area. Several restaurants in the area have a reputation for their Friday Fish Fry.
Stoughton, Wisconsin
Boasts of one of the larger historic downtowns in the area. Has just remodeled one of the only remaining second story opera houses in the Midwest. Puts on Syttende Mai, one of the largest celebrations of the Norwegian Independence Day in the country, held annually in May. The Norwegian Dancers- a local ethnic dance troupe of some repute perform at this event and travel to perform their unique style of dance. Just a short distance from Lake Kegonsa and Lake Kegonsa State Park.
Sun Prairie, Wisconsin
Home of Jimmy the Groundhog. A large sweet corn festival is held each August. Has a racetrack where Midget Auto Racing is held. Contains the largest Aquatic center in the area. Many shops in the downtown sell antiques.
