Education Resources
Grades K 12
Cottage Grove, Blooming Grove and Monona formed the combined Monona Grove School System in 1964. The school district has one high school, one middle school and four elementary schools.
Cardinal Stritch University
Offers graduate and undergraduate degrees in business administration, management and health services administration. Some certification programs are offered in sales and sales management. Students are requested to have previous work experience, which may qualify for credits.
Concordia University
Offers undergraduate programs in management, communication, liberal arts and Health care administration. Students are to be at least 25 with 7 years of work or life experience, which may qualify for credit. Graduate programs are available through the Mequon Campus via electronic mail.
Edgewood College
Provides more than 40 undergraduate majors and five graduate programs. Offers evening and weekend undergraduate and master degree programs. Also has a continuing education program. Students need GPA of 2.7 or higher from high school and appropriate ACT or SAT scores.
Herzing College of Technology
Offers accredited training in electronics and computer technology. Associate degree programs in electronic engineering technology, computer information systems, electronics and mechanical CAD drafting. Bachelor degree programs in electronics and computer technology, computer information systems, CAD drafting and computer technology. Students must have a high school diploma or equivalency. They also must pass entrance exams. Part time students are accepted.
Lakeland College
Evening undergraduate programs. Generally for working adults to pursue a degree on a part time basis while continuing to work. Offering accounting, business administration, computer science, marketing and specialized administration.
Madison Area Technical College
Offers associate degrees in applied sciences and applied arts. Also has short-term technical degree and diploma programs', emphasizing hands-on skills. The MATC apprenticeship department coordinates training for skilled trades. Some college degree transfer courses are offered. Adult and continuing education programs in a range of topics are also offered. MATC has nine South Central Wisconsin education centers in addition to its main Madison campus. Admission requirements vary.
Madison Media Institute
Offers certificate programs in radio and television broadcasting or recording and music technology. Students must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
University of Wisconsin
Main campus in Madison, campuses throughout Wisconsin. Located on Lake Mendota, west of the state capitol.
University of Wisconsin Extension
Meeting the education needs of Wisconsin people where they live and work.
Upper Iowa University Madison Center
Offers Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting, business, human resources, marketing, management and public administration, human services and psychology. Master degrees are offered in business leadership. Most classes are held weeknights and Saturday mornings.
