State Historical Society
Collects, advances, and disseminates knowledge of Wisconsin and the trans-Allegheny West. Has a collection of books, periodicals, maps, manuscripts, relics, newspapers, audio and graphic material as they relate to North America. Besides the library and archives of historic data the society maintains a museum, historic sites throughout the state and affiliated local societies and school services. Also maintains info on Wisconsin's Smart Growth planning. |
